Aug 19th: The Dialogue Series (dallas, tx)

MTAR hosted an evening of great discussion, global eats, and community at the Aladin Rentals and Events space. Culturally relevant topics of discussion included mental health, economics in marginalized communities, as well as immigration, and race. We were also moved in head and heart by storytelling performances from Queen Smith a gifted orator and founder of Open Seat. Local businesses represented at the event included Fanchion K's Tea Time (Specialty Teas), Brewer and Lormand Attorney's at Law, Edure IT (Web and Mobile App Development), and Badmus Law among others.

Mar 18th: Highlights from the MTAR Fundraising Gala dinner

(Dallas, TX)

Earlier this year More Than a Refugee hosted a dinner with friends and family in the local community to highlight the need for championing women & the girl child. The night began with a an plentiful selection of eats from around the world (of course!), a keynote presentation of the vision and goals of our organization, and was capped off with an insightful panel discussion on current US Immigration issues. We hope to meet you at our next event!
